Annie Jane Allan

Annie Jane Allan was born 27 August 1875, in Richfield, Sevier County, Utah, a daughter of John Allan and Jane Fleming Ferguson Shaw. She was the third of five children in the family. Annie's family moved to San Juan County where Annie's two younger siblings were born.

She met Edward Fleming Thompson in about 1896 when Edward was living and working in Moab, Utah, and Annie lived with her family in Bluff, Utah. They formed a friendship, corresponded and courted for five years. They were married 11 January 1901, in Bluff, San Juan County, Utah. A few months later, on 10 April 1901, Edward and Annie were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. They were the parents of ten children.

Years later, Edward and Annie moved to Salt Lake City, where they lived for several years before Edward's death in 1931. Annie died 5 October 1957, in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah
